This Week at Christ Community | Hurricane Florence is Upon Us | 9.13.2018

Church Family,

As we head into the weekend, we are met with the reality of Hurricane Florence knocking on our door. Our staff has been monitoring the storm closely and the potential impact it will have on our community. This storm will cause flooding and damage throughout our region. Because of this, we want to keep the safety of our church in mind in every way possible.

We WILL HAVE our worship service on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.. However, we WILL NOT be having our 9:00 a.m. small group hourincluding adult, kids, and student small groups. We will also move our Annual Church Conference back one week to Sunday, September 23 at 5:00 p.m.

If you are able to make it to service, great! We look forward to worshiping with you in person in the rain together. However, do not risk getting out in heavy storms or heavy rain if you do not feel comfortable. We will be broadcasting our service live from ccchuntersville.com and also on our Facebook page. For the Facebook page, you can search “Christ Community Church” to find us.

If you desire to give toward Hurricane Florence Relief efforts, you can do so by going to NAMB.net. Depending on the devastation this hurricane inflicts on the coast, we will mobilize teams to go serve. Until then, let’s pray for low impact. Here’s three specific was you can pray right now:

  1. Pray for the safety of those caught in the storm’s path.
  2. Pray for the safety of the rescuers and first responders.
  3. Pray for low impact across our region.

I look forward to worshiping in the storm with you on Sunday.

Pastor Ronnie
