THIS WEEK AT CHRIST COMMUNITY | Happy Thanksgiving | November 28, 2019

Christ Community,

Marci and I are incredibly thankful to have the privilege of serving with such a wonderful church. Christ Community is made up of sweet and endearing people who love the Lord Jesus Christ and have shown that love to us in so many ways. Our family loves you. We are grateful for your encouragement, your prayers, and your faith. Most importantly, we are thankful for your love for God and his mission.

God has done much in our faith family this year. We’ve seen children, teenagers, college students, and adults saved, many baptized, sent many on mission trips, and have celebrated life and mourned death in our church family. We’ve prayed for many to be healed, the jobless to receive jobs, and the lost to be saved. While we’ve seen all three happen, we are still praying for many needs. As you take time today to give thanks to God, please also take time to pray for those in our church family who are in need of encouragement, healing, jobs, or salvation.

You are a special people, Christ Community. I have one challenge for you as we prepare to head into the Christmas season: honor God with your life this Christmas. Be kind with your words and generous with your encouragement. Be generous with all God has entrusted to you financially. Be present with us each Sunday in December as we anticipate the birth of Christ together. Join with us at our Christmas Concert on December 15 at 5:30 p.m. and one of our Christmas Eve services on December 23 at 3:30 or 5:00 p.m. Honor God with your life.

My family pauses today to give God thanks. We are thankful for the church family God has given us to love us, encourage us, and serve with us on God’s mission of making gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God.

Thanks for being faithful to the Lord this year above all else. Happy Thanksgiving!
