This Week at CCC: 3-1-18

THIS WEEK AT CHRIST COMMUNITY // March 1, 2018

Sunday will be different.

Our church is incredibly blessed with talented musicians who serve in leading us in worship each week. With talents comes all sorts of opportunities to change up our style every now and then. This Sunday will be one of those days where we intentionally change up what we’ve been doing and bring in a different feel to our service. You won’t want to miss it!

Easter is Upon Us

Easter Sunday falls on April 1 this year. We are excited to hold two Easter services at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. We are working on a few plans that will help serve you and your family as you prepare for Easter. One of these is a special night of worship on Good Friday.

Good Friday

On March 30, we will hold a Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m. This service will be focused on the death of Christ and will be reflective in tone. We will draw together to remember the death of Christ. We will also observe the Lord’s Supper together. We are excited about this special night of worship and how it will help serve our time together on Easter Sunday. Childcare will be provided.

Be Committed in March

As we look toward the month ahead, I encourage you to make Sunday worship a priority. Remember that Satan will provide every distraction possible to keep you from gathering with your church family to praise the Lord. Don’t let him! Be committed.

Also, as you go through the month of March ask the Lord to put people on your heart and in your life that you can invite to our Easter services. Write their names down and pray over them daily. The Lord will give them to you if you ask. He might just save them too if you ask! Let’s be bold, gather the masses, and let get them to a moment where they can hear the gospel and have the opportunity to trust Christ.

Prepare for Sunday

As you head towards worship this Sunday, I want to challenge you in a few ways:

  1. Take some time on Saturday night to pray for our service.
  2. Plan to go to bed earlier so that you might be more attentive on Sunday.
  3. Show up early, find a seat near the front, and begin to pray for each person in attendance.
  4. Encourage those standing around in the lobby to get in the service early and prepare their hearts to hear from the Lord.
  5. While you’re in the service, ask the Lord to speak to you, help you receive what you need to hear, and be obedient to carry it out.
  6. Take a few minutes this weekend to read Mark 4:21-34 and begin thinking through Sunday’s text.

I praise God for you and how he is working in and through our Church daily and weekly. The future is in his hands and that means we can have confidence that all will be well. I look forward to meeting together on Sunday to worship our King and Savior Jesus Christ. What a love. What a Savior.

See you Sunday!
