We are committed to training the next generation of church leaders.
One of our core values at Christ Community is Missional Multiplication. Simply put, this means that we are laser focused on multiplying our gospel impact across our city, region, and the world. Our dream is to invest in and send out countless men and women who will lead churches and ministries far and wide. Our summer internships are a key part of that strategy.
Summer interns spend 10 weeks working as a key part of the Christ Community staff team. Interns focus their attention on a ministry area that aligns with their skills and goals. We also work hard to expose interns to a variety of other ministry areas to broaden their perspective. They'll work closely with our pastors and staff in these areas gaining valuable experience, discipleship, and coaching.
Additionally, our pastors spend time each week talking through ministry, assigned reading, and other topics essential to developing as a leader. If you think you may be called to ministry, are willing to work hard, and are passionate about the gospel, then a summer internship at Christ Community may be a great fit for you.

Interning with Christ Community provided me a tangible experience to this abstract thing called ‘ministry.’ I saw what the day-to-day realities of serving an imperfect church with not-yet-perfected saints looks like and worked among a staff team who truly cared for me in the present and cultivated what God was already doing in my life. If you are considering applying for this internship, then do not hesitate. God blessed me immeasurably through it, and I know He can do the same for you.
The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
The summer internship was beneficial to me because I was able to work and be willing to help in a Godly environment where I was able to use my gifts, be loved on, and poured into daily. During the summer I worked hard to build relationships within our church and the children’s program which matured me and built a bigger community for me within our church. I was pushed out of my comfort zone and was taught so much about a life working in the church and also life working as a children’s director by people who love what they do and genuinely care about you.

The individualized mentorship and experience I gained from the time at Christ Community was helpful and clarifying for my future. I learned extensively about myself, my gifts, and areas I can sharpen for my future ministry. You should consider this internship because ministry is learned by imitating faithful men and women who give their lives for the glory of the God and for the love of their people.
