2-8-18: This Week at CCC

Rejoice in Life Change

Our Church is in a unique season of growth and life change. Last Sunday, we saw three more people go public with their faith through baptism. We are having weekly discussions with people who are new to our church about what the gospel means and what obedience to Jesus and his Word looks like. Psalm 118:29 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for his is good; his faithful love endures forever.” Therefore, we give thanks to the Lord! Praise him for his kind favor to bless our church with these opportunities.

Membership Class

If you are a regular attender or a recent visitor of Christ Community, our next membership class is this Sunday, February 11. This class is designed to give you all the info you need for what it looks like for your family to lock arms with our church as we seek to fulfill God’s will for our lives together as his Church. The class will start immediately following our morning service, around 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will include childcare and lunch. Please register by following this link.

Reclaim

On February 18 at 5:00 p.m., our Women’s Ministry will facilitate an event hosted by Marci Parrott and Taylor Owens, called “Reclaim: Restoring Biblical Womanhood in a Broken World.”

With so many differing voices in culture telling women what it means to be a woman, it can sometimes be hard to know what’s true. Thankfully, our Heavenly Father has told us who we are. Marci and Taylor will lead a discussion on principles from His Word to learn just exactly who He’s calling you to be as a woman. Join our women for an evening of discussion, prayer, and fellowship. Refreshments will be provided.

In order to make sure all women are able to attend, childcare will not be provided. We’re encouraging husbands, dads, granddads, and even small groups to step in and help so that our ladies can be blessed by this evening. Join others as we learn together. Please RSVP by following this link.
Sunday Will Be Great

Mark 2:23-3:7 is the Scripture I’ll be preaching this Sunday. Read it, pray through it, and ask the Lord to prepare your heart to hear from him. As always, I’m grateful for you. Pray for our me as I prepare and for our church family as we labor across our city for Christ.

See you Sunday Church!
