1-11-2017: This Week at CCC

Give God Praise

Last week’s service was full of worship, prayer, preaching, decision’s made for Christ, and good news! What a great way to kick off a new year. We give God praise for a great kick-off to our new sermon series through Mark.

Our campus was full of children, students, and adults last night as they gathered for our mid-week activities including Awana, Student worship, and Theology for Life. What a joy it is to serve a thriving church in Huntersville!

Mark 1:12-28 This Sunday

The second sermon in Mark will focus on four distinct stories of Jesus that have a resounding theme of who Jesus is and the authority he carries. Read Mark 1:12-28 and come prepared to hear from the Lord. We rejoice that this Jesus we read about in the pages of Mark is the same Jesus that now lives in our hearts. Praise the Lord!

Lake Norman Christian School

As I shared on Sunday, we have entered into an agreement for Lake Norman Christian School to lease our facilities beginning Fall of this year. I believe this is a great move for our church and the school.

To be clear, the two organizations will remain separate. Christ Community does not own the school. This is a lease agreement. However, because the school will be on our property, we will have leadership in the school. The school will be a ministry of the church by nature of it’s location.

The School has graciously determined to offer our membership a 15% discount for anyone desiring to apply to place their children at Lake Norman Christian. I encourage you to check out their website and familiarize yourself with them. Please pray for the school and our staff team as both parties make preparations for this major move.

If you would like to volunteer to help get our facilities in shape, please email me at pastor@ccchuntersville.com and let me know! We have a long list of items to update, including paint, replacing ceiling tiles, cleaning out closets, and building a few items.

Over Half Way into 21 Days

As you continue in these 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, I hope you are growing in your commitment to Christ. If you’ve throttled back, I encourage you to hop back in. Dive into God’s Word and spend more time with him. Matthew 7:7-11 says,

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
“Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.”

Continue to pray for the ministries and mission of our Church this year. Here are a the specific ways you can pray,

– God, expand the borders of our church. Grow us for your glory so that we might make much of Jesus in our region.

– God, help us reach Lake Norman, America, and the World for Jesus Christ. Wherever our people go, may they live for you and your purpose. Help me to live for you today.

– God, help me to see my role in our mission of making gospel-centered disciples among all people for the glory of God. Give me the courage to step out and make disciples.

– God bless our church financially this year. Erase our debt and provide for every penny of our ministry budget. Thank you, Lord, for your provision for me and my family.

What an exciting time to be at Christ Community. Go out of your way to invite someone to join you for church this weekend. It might just change their life! Let’s pray for it!
